Ushers /
Hospitality Ministry
It is important that all visitors
and parishioners feel welcome at all of our liturgies. This ministry assists
in greeting/welcoming all people in a friendly manner; seating people;
asking worshipers to be gift bearers; taking the collection and securing it
properly; offering the sign of peace to the worshipers; assisting
people-movement during Holy Communion; handing out the church bulletin, and
other church or diocesan literature; being courteous to all paying homage to
God and attentive to any special needs they may have; helping out at special
times during the year, like First Holy Communion, Confirmation, Christmas
and Easter liturgies.
It is open to all parishioners
who feel called to this ministry of hospitality. If you would like to assist
at Mass in this way, contact the Parish Office.
Musical
Ministry
Our music ministry includes
choirs familiar with the music and cultures of the USA and Latin America.
Our liturgical music programs are coordinated by Sharon Thornton – 4:30
p.m. Mass, Joey Lopez – 9:30 a.m. Mass and Letecia Segundo and Nina Orocio
– 11:00 a.m. Mass. Good music is an essential part of good liturgy.
This ministry is designed to promote prayerful worship at each of our
weekend Masses. All singers and instrumentalists are welcomed to take an
active role in our parish community.
If you have a musical talent and would like to share
that with your parish family, please contact the Parish Office.
Religious
Education Ministry
The purpose of the Religious
Education Program is to assist in one's knowledge of God, growth in faith
and an understanding of and appreciation for the teachings of the Roman
Catholic Church. The program is primarily concerned with students who are in
grades 1-11.
With the understanding that the
parents are the primary educators of their children in areas of faith and
morals, the classes are designed to affirm and support the efforts made at
home. The curriculum in all grade levels is in accordance with the Diocese
of Austin Department of Catholic Education and is designed to assist parents
in developing a Christian way of life according to the teachings of the
Catholic Church.
The program depends on members of
the parish who have an active Faith to volunteer their services in sharing
this faith with the younger members of the parish community. The catechists
are offered the opportunity to attend classes for background information and
personal growth and are also given practical instruction and guidance for
their classroom experience.
Please consider sharing your
faith by becoming part of this parish ministry.

Finance Council
The parish Finance
Council assists the pastor in the areas of finance and administration. The
council advises in matters of income and expenditures of funds, as well as
providing for an efficient and accurate system of reporting, recording and
accounting. Parishioners from the business, legal and financial professions
are especially helpful in this council.
